The Minnesota Zoo and DNR are partnering to protect wood turtles in southeast Minnesota.

Wood turtles populations are threatened in southeast Minnesota, so the DNR and Minnesota Zoo are gathering eggs from nests, raising them, and releasing juvenile turtles a year later when they have a better chance of survival.
