Bald eagle watching is popular in Wabasha, where strong currents on the Mississippi River keep waters open year-round so the raptors can fish. 20 years ago Scott Mehus of the National Eagle Center discovered that golden eagles are also migrating through southeast Minnesota on their way to Canada.
