(crowd laughs) So I had this, not to get too vulnerable, but I had this session with my therapist after something pretty heavy happened in my family over the pandemic and I started having these pretty consistent panic attacks, and I'd never really experienced that before in my life.
I have friends that have and family members but never myself.
I essentially just went and said, "Hey, I don't know what I'm experiencing, I don't think there's anything wrong with my body, it's just like, I'm like losing my breath and that stuff."
And he was like, "Well, it sounds like there's a lot going on in your life."
And I don't wanna get too personal but there's a lot of things that were kind of happening and he was like, "It feels like you just need to go home and curse as loud as you want to at whatever you want to into a pillow."
And I was like, "That's kind of weird."
I kind of gave him the look that you guys gave me when I told you to close your eyes.
(crowd laughs) And he was like, "Just try it."
He's like, "If you think about it, you used to do 200 shows a year where you would scream a lot so you were getting a lot of these emotions out just naturally and you haven't done that in quite a long time and it can be just this energy that needs to get out of you."
I went back home and it was just me and my two dogs and they were looking at my kind of like, they're huskies and they kinda gave me one of these when I did it, you know, like, "What the heck's going on with my owner?"
But it really helped for whatever reason, I kinda stopped having the anxiety moments and all that stuff, so not to be too heavy but that's what this song's about, it's called "Scream."
