Advocates of police reform consider next steps in New Jersey.

The guilty verdicts in the trial of convicted officer Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis were greeted with cheers by many and by a sense of righteous relief by people who have been pleading for decades that attention be brought to police brutalization of Black people. But any celebrating should be short-lived, says long-time community activist Larry Hamm.
