New data shows 2021 job growth was most on record, 6.7 million
New data out Friday shows job growth in 2021 was the most on record. Some 6.7 million new jobs were added to the economy last year, as the rebound from pandemic-related job losses took hold. The government’s monthly jobs report found that strong hiring gains continued into January when companies added another 467,000 jobs.
