Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship[MUSIC] [APPLAUSE] [MUSIC - "THE STAR SPANGLED BANNER"] [APPLAUSE] During World War II, the English-born conductor Eugene Goossens commissioned 18 composers to write orchestral fanfares, stirring and significant contributions to the war effort, in his words, for concerts of the Cincinnati Symphony.
Among those who contributed were Aaron Copland with his fanfare for the common man, a three minute gem.
[drumming] [music] [explosion] [music] [applause] [music] [applause] [music] [applause] We're now being joined by the Wilmington Chester Mass Choir for "Two Hymns."
"Sovereign" by Carol Antrim and "Peace" by Gerald Pierce conducted by Claudine Kaye.

Where He wants to and how He wants to.
Because He is sovereign.

Who am I to question His wisdom?

I am not free.

By what He allows to be, I must realize that my God is the Prince.
