Christy Clark-Pujara feels that, as an African American woman, voting is critical.

Christy Clark-Pujara is a professor and historian in the Department of Afro-American Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her father was born in Mississippi and grew up in the Jim Crow South. As an adult he valued voting and worked the polls, setting an example for his daughter on the historic importance of these civic duties.
