- My name is Donovan Zimmerman and I am the artistic director of Paperhand Puppet Intervention.
At Paperhand we create giant puppets and masks and shadows and stilts and costumes and we create live music and we turn it into giant puppet spectacles for all ages.
We take those recycled materials, a cardboard and other things and we turn those into some beauty and some art that helps people in the most hopeful way connect to the natural world and to each other as people.
We want people to learn that we can create a beautiful and meaningful future for human beings and the rest of the creatures we share this world with.
We can create that future together.
It brings everyone into the moment and in that moment is a lot of possibility and that's where I get the most excited and inspired.
