La Fière Manor
Clip | 57s
The Manor at La Fière in Normandy, France, was the scene of one of the bloodiest battles of the D-Day invasion fought mostly by members of the 82nd Airborne Division. The manor was comprised of medieval stone buildings that provided strong defensive positions for German forces. The stone bridge and causeway linking the manor with the small village of Cauquigny nearby was a critical route inland.
