Amid rising infections and surging hospitalizations, Gov. Phil Murphy is calling on the Legislature to extend a number of pandemic-related emergency powers for another three months. Most of his emergency powers ended this summer, but others were extended. Now, those powers are set to expire as well; if lawmakers don’t act before the end of the legislative session next Tuesday.
