- My name is Warren Davis.
I'm a recreation program senior analyst for the city of Parks and Rec.
MLK Memorial Garden here in Raleigh, it is the first to be built with Martin Luther King's vision in the United States.
It also is geared to the legacy of his being involved with the community.
[uplifting music] - We built a bronze statue of Martin Luther King, and we do have a water monument.
We also have a wall for those who believe in what the vision is.
It's a great place for people to come, see the wall, learn history.
It's one thing to read about it in school, but when you can come out and grasp history with your hands, it's another thing.
I think it's great to have people come to our park and our spaces to continue to educate themselves.
